Shady Grove Music Camp 2024

Shady Grove Music Camp is a two-day music festival founded in 2019 and held in Pocatello every third weekend of July. The event showcases an eclectic mix of original music from dozens of regional bands on alternating stages for over 20 hours of non-stop music.

The star of the show at Shady Grove Music Camp is surely the musical acts and performers, but the event melds independent art installations, delectable food and beverages, yoga and meditation, craft vendors and camping for an exceptional music festival experience.

VENUE

The venue at FMC Park is located north of of Pocatello and rests on a 20-acre, grass-covered and tree-lined park nestled near the Portneuf River. A central playground with swings and some playground toys offer a great place for children and youth to stay occupied (but within eyesight). The venue has served the Gate City community for decades, originally as a park for FMC employees and later as spot for picnics, family reunions, weddings and other gatherings. Shady Grove got its name in part, thanks to the plethora of large elm, cottonwood and willow trees at the venue that offer an oasis of shade and a respite from the hot July sun. We bring out a 2-inch fire hose during those peak hours in heat for those who aren't afraid of getting a little wet.
