Shady Grove Music Camp 2025

Shady Grove Music Camp is a two-day music festival founded in 2019 and held at FMC Park in Pocatello every third weekend of July. The event showcases a wide mix of original music on three alternating stages setup in a central horseshoe shape with staggered acts for over 20 hours of non-stop music. 

The star of the show at Shady Grove Music Camp is the musical acts and performers, but we incorporate live art installations with collections of completed art in our Art Alley, delectable eats from Gate City area food trucks and pop-ups, dozens of unique vendors and Jim Dandy Brewing's award-winning ales and plenty of other offerings (wine and gluten-free). Overnight campers wake up Saturday morning to yoga, meditation, and, on occasion the communal activity — a drum circle in 2025.

VENUE

The venue at FMC Park is located north of Pocatello and rests on a 20-acre, grass-covered and tree-lined park nestled near the Portneuf River. A central playground with swings and some playground toys offer a great place for children and youth to stay occupied (but within eyesight). The venue has served the Southeast Idaho community for decades, originally as a park for FMC employees and later as spot for picnics, family reunions, weddings and other gatherings. Shady Grove got its name in part, thanks to the plethora of large elm, cottonwood and willow trees at the venue that offer an oasis of shade and a respite from the hot July sun. We bring out a 2-inch fire hose during those peak hours in the heat for those who aren't afraid of getting a little wet.
