Independence Day Parade

Theme: “Star Spangled Celebration!”
Candy: DO NOT throw candy from floats or vehicles because children run into the street to get it. You MUST use walkers to hand out candy or flyers.
Safety: Please carry a fire extinguisher.
Entry Fee: $60 for commercial entries, $25 for Non-profit entries and there is no cost for military and/or veteran entries.
Line Up: Entries may start checking in at 7:00am. The check-in point will be at N. Harrison and W. Wyeth. Line-up will be inside the Union Pacific Avenue Parking Lots on the 200-400 blocks of N. Union Pacific Avenue. Volunteers will again be coordinating the lineup and parade start.
Judging: Judging will take place from 8:30-9:00am. To be considered, your entry should be assembled and running when the judges see it. Please understand that it takes time to judge all the entries.
Parade Start: The parade will start moving at 9:30am. Entries will go in the order that they arrived in the lineup with the exception of sponsors and dignitaries.
Parade Route: Please refer to the map. Please note*** The route is different this year due to the renovation of the Center Street Underpass. The parade will run on the West side of Historic Downtown Pocatello only due to the Underpass being closed.
Parade Begin & End: The parade will begin at N. Main Street and W. Fremont. The Parade will end on the same street, inside the UP Parking Lots. Please be courteous as all floats need to complete the parade route. Please clean up. Do not leave behind any garbage or float decorations. Thank you!
